CHINGAY, COLORS, and MR. CHAN

1:46am. came from chingay parade at orchard. arrived sometime past 11pm.
it was a crazy blur of color and lights, with dances and costumes and acrobatics from all over asia and pretty actresses and yep, mr. chan. JACKIE CHAN.

shet. hmmm.. that made me feel good. i mean, i have seen very few local celebs in the philippines, since i live in good ol' davao city and not in the bustling capital manila, and so it felt extremely good to see a celeb here in singapore. and an international superstar at that. and he waved at me! hahaha.

not exactly at me. at our group. (okay, so he was waving like crazy in every direction, but that's beside the point. =P) i swear he looked at the small group of people around me, and waved back at our smiling faces.

oh well. i guess i'm just a little awed by seeing a superstar just some FEET away. oh, he was with this lady, atop a big majestic float, and music fit for a king's entrance was being played. the lady, and the other ladies who were atop vintage cars in front and behind the big float, were apparently celebs too. actresses i presume, from as far as taiwan or something. or maybe local stars in singapore. but the one who striked me was the smiling lady in pink.

she was wearing a bright pink tube top, had not-so-chinese features but chinese still, had long hair, and was beaming happily and sincerely. i swore she looked at me. or somewhere in my direction. a real looker, promise.

oh well. i guess this is what they call STARSTRUCK.

and NOOOO!! not the tv show! with all due respect. ;)
